Many tools have configuration options that customize their behavior. This article explains how to access and modify tool settings.

Accessing Tool Configuration

  1. Go to AI Config > Tools
  2. Find the tool you want to configure
  3. Click the Configure button on the tool card The tool configuration modal opens.

Configuration Modal

The modal displays all available settings for the tool:

  • Toggle switches for feature flags
  • Text fields for URLs, names, messages
  • Phone number fields with validation
  • Dropdown selects for mode choices

Required vs. Optional Fields

Required Fields

  • Marked with an asterisk (*)
  • Must be filled before saving
  • The save button is disabled until complete

Optional Fields

  • Can be left empty
  • Have default values when applicable

Field Validation

The system validates your input:

  • URLs — Must be valid http:// or https:// addresses
  • Phone numbers — Must be valid format with country code
  • Required fields — Cannot be empty Invalid entries show error messages.

Saving Configuration

  1. Fill in all required fields
  2. Adjust optional settings as needed
  3. Click Save Changes are stored but not live until published.

Conditional Fields

Some fields appear based on other selections:

  • Choosing certain modes reveals additional options
  • Enabling features may show related settings
  • The interface updates dynamically

Viewing Current Configuration

To see how a tool is currently configured:

  1. Click the Configure button
  2. Review all field values
  3. Close without saving to keep current settings
