When you add knowledge, it goes through processing. This article explains the status indicators you'll see.
Status Types
Knowledge entries show different statuses:
Not Added
- Color: Orange
- Meaning: No content has been added yet
- Action: Add content via any source
Processing
- Color: Yellow
- Animation: Pulsing
- Meaning: File or URL is being processed
- Action: Wait for processing to complete
Configured
- Color: Blue
- Meaning: Content is saved but not published
- Action: Publish to make it live
Published
- Color: Green
- Animation: Subtle pulse
- Meaning: Live on your AI agent
- Action: None needed (or edit if changes required)
Failed
- Color: Red
- Meaning: Processing encountered an error
- Action: Try again or use a different source
Processing States
During file or URL processing:
Handling Failed Processing

| Preparing | Initializing the process |
| Finalizing | Completing the operation |
If processing fails:
- An error banner appears
- You can retry the operation
- Or dismiss and try a different approach Common causes of failure:
- Corrupted files
- Unsupported content formats
- Network issues
- Very large documents
Status Persistence
- Processing states are tracked even if you leave the page
- Return to see updated status
- Failed states persist for 24 hours to allow recovery
