During a call, your AI receptionist can text the customer a link to view or manage their booking. This is handled by the Send Booking Link tool in your AI Tools configuration.

When the AI sends a booking link, the customer receives an SMS that includes a URL. This URL takes them to a booking confirmation page where they can:

  • View their booking details (date, time, service or party size, location)
  • Potentially manage (modify or cancel) the booking depending on your configuration

When the AI sends it

The AI sends a booking link SMS:

  • After completing a new booking, when the customer asks for confirmation.
  • When a customer asks for a reminder or confirmation details.
  • Proactively after booking completion (if the tool is configured to do this automatically).

The exact behaviour depends on how the tool is configured. You can enable or disable the tool and adjust its settings in the AI Tools section.

How to enable it

  1. Go to AI Receptionists โ†’ [Your AI] โ†’ AI Tools.
  2. Find the Send Booking Link tool (listed under Booking or Actions category).
  3. Toggle it on.
  4. Publish the AI to push the change live.

Why this matters for customers

Getting a confirmation link via SMS immediately after booking is valuable to customers:

  • They have a written record without needing to check their email.
  • They can confirm the details at their convenience.
  • They can use the link to self-serve changes later.

This reduces "did I actually book?" calls and increases confidence in the booking experience.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Enable this tool for all new setups. It's one of the easiest quality-of-life improvements you can make for customers who book by phone. A quick SMS confirmation turns an ephemeral phone conversation into a durable record.

โš ๏ธ Important: The SMS is sent to the caller's phone number. If the call was made from a landline or a number that cannot receive SMS, the message will not be delivered. This is a limitation of SMS โ€” the AI has no way to know in advance whether the destination can receive messages.
