Your AI receptionist can send a text message containing a link to your online ordering page or eCommerce store during a call. This is useful if a caller wants to place an order, browse your menu, or access your online shop.

What this tool does

The Send Order Link (or Send eCommerce Link) AI tool allows the AI to SMS the caller a URL pointing to your ordering or shopping page. The caller can then complete their order or purchase on their phone without needing to find your website themselves.

Common use cases

  • A restaurant customer calls asking if they can order for delivery — the AI can text them the ordering page link.
  • A caller wants to purchase products or gift vouchers — the AI can send a direct link.
  • Any scenario where the caller's next action requires visiting your online shop.

How to configure it

  1. Go to AI Receptionists → [Your AI] → AI Tools.
  2. Find the Send Order Link or equivalent tool (listed under Actions or Utilities).
  3. Toggle it on.
  4. In the tool's configuration, enter the URL of your ordering page or online store.
  5. Publish the AI.

The URL you configure is the link the AI will text to callers.

The SMS sent to the caller will contain the URL you've configured. If the URL is long, the system may use a shortened link (TinyURL) to keep the message concise. See Why Some SMS Links Use TinyURL for details.

When the AI uses this tool

The AI will offer to send this link when a caller's request relates to ordering or purchasing. The exact trigger depends on the AI's conversational context and your configuration.

💡 Tip: If your restaurant uses a third-party delivery platform (e.g. an online ordering system), this is the URL to configure in the tool. Keep it up to date — if your ordering URL changes, update it in the AI Tools settings and republish.

⚠️ Important: The AI can only send one URL per SMS tool. Make sure the URL you configure is the most important or most useful destination for your customers.
