Regular hours are your standard weekly operating schedule that repeats every week. This article shows you how to set them up.
Accessing Weekly Hours
- Navigate to Availabilities in the sidebar
- Click the Schedules tab
- You'll see all seven days of the week listed
Adding a Time Slot
To add hours for a day:
- Find the day you want to configure
- Click the + button to add a new time slot
- Set the Start time and End time
- Optionally add a Slot name (e.g., "Morning", "Lunch", "Dinner")
- For restaurants, set the Service duration (how long each booking takes) The slot appears in the day's schedule immediately.
Multiple Slots Per Day
You can add multiple time slots to the same day. This is useful for:
Separate meal periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Split shifts with a mid-day break
Different service types at different times Example for a restaurant:
Breakfast: 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Dinner: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
đź’ˇ Note: Time slots cannot overlap. If you try to add overlapping slots, you'll see a warning.
Editing Time Slots
To modify an existing slot:
- Click on the time slot to expand it
- Adjust the start time, end time, or name
- Changes are tracked until you save You can also:
- Duplicate a slot to create a similar one
- Delete a slot you no longer need
Slot Tags
Tags help categorize your time slots. For restaurants, you might use tags like:
- Breakfast
- Brunch
- Lunch
- Happy Hour
- Dinner To add a tag:
- Expand a time slot
- Click the tag dropdown
- Select an existing tag or create a new one
- Choose a color for easy identification
Service Duration
For restaurants, each slot requires a service duration—how long a table is reserved for each booking. Common durations:
- Breakfast: 45-60 minutes
- Lunch: 60-90 minutes
- Dinner: 90-120 minutes This ensures accurate availability calculations and prevents overbooking.
Saving Your Schedule
After making changes:
- Click Update Availabilities at the bottom of the page
- Wait for the confirmation message
- Your new schedule is now active Changes won't take effect until you save. You can make multiple adjustments before saving.
