Each holiday can be individually enabled or disabled. This article explains how to toggle specific holidays on and off.

Individual Holiday Toggles

Each holiday in your list has its own toggle switch. This gives you precise control over which holidays you observe.

To toggle a specific holiday:

  1. Navigate to Availabilities > Holidays
  2. Find the holiday you want to change
  3. Click the toggle switch
  4. The setting updates automatically

Toggle States

  • On (enabled) — Your business is closed on this holiday
  • Off (disabled) — Your business operates normal hours on this holiday Changes take effect immediately after the brief auto-save delay.

When to Enable a Holiday

Enable a holiday when:

  • You're completely closed for the day
  • No bookings should be accepted
  • Your staff will not be working

When to Disable a Holiday

Disable (or keep disabled) a holiday when:

  • You're open with normal hours
  • You're open with modified hours (use date-specific hours instead)
  • The holiday doesn't apply to your business

Common Toggle Scenarios

Retail vs Service Businesses

A retail store might close for:

  • Christmas Day ✓

  • New Year's Day ✓

  • Thanksgiving ✓ But stay open for:

  • Columbus Day ✗

  • Veterans Day ✗

Restaurants

Fine dining might close for:

  • Christmas Day ✓
  • New Year's Day (open for brunch) — Use reduced hours instead
  • Thanksgiving (serving dinner) — Use special hours instead

Professional Services

An office might close for:

  • All major holidays ✓

  • Government holidays ✓ But stay open for:

  • Minor holidays ✗

Holidays with Modified Hours

If you're open on a holiday but with different hours:

  1. Disable the holiday toggle (so you're not marked as closed)
  2. Navigate to Date-Specific Hours
  3. Add your holiday hours as a date override This way, you're open with your special hours rather than closed.

Multiple Locations

If you have multiple locations:

  • Each location has its own holiday settings
  • One location can be closed while another is open
  • Toggle holidays per-location based on local practices Use the location switcher to configure each location's holidays separately.

Checking Your Settings

Before a holiday period:

  1. Review which holidays are coming up
  2. Verify toggles are set correctly
  3. For modified hours, confirm date-specific overrides are in place
  4. Test by checking your booking page availability

Auto-Save Behavior

When you toggle a holiday:

  1. The toggle updates visually immediately
  2. The change is saved after a brief delay (about half a second)
  3. No separate save button is needed
  4. A confirmation may appear briefly This makes it quick to toggle multiple holidays in sequence.
