Use customer search when you need to find someone quickly by name, email, or phone number. This is useful when a customer calls about a booking, when your team needs to update contact details, or when you want to check whether a customer has already been added.

The customer list is intentionally simple: search first, then sort the visible results if you need a different order.

Searching from the Customers page

On the Customers page, use the search box labelled Search customers by name, email, or phone.... As you type, Speako narrows the list to matching customers.

Search can match:

  • customer name
  • email address
  • phone number

If the search does not match anyone, the table area shows No customers found with the message Try adjusting your search query. Clear the search box to return to the full list.

💡 Tip: For customer support, phone number is often the safest search term. Two customers may have similar names, but a phone number usually points to the person who called or booked.

Sorting the list

The customer table can be sorted by:

Column When to use it
Customer Name Find customers alphabetically
Email Group customers with or without email addresses
Created At Review newer or older customers, where that sort is available

Clicking a sortable column changes the order. Clicking the same column again switches between ascending and descending order.

Using tags as a practical filter

Customer tags help your team group customers into meaningful segments, such as VIP, Regular, or Lead. On the customer list, tags appear in the Tags column so you can scan quickly for the right group.

The visible customer list focuses on search and sorting rather than a separate tag filter. If your team relies heavily on customer groups, create clear tag names and apply them consistently so they are easy to recognise in the list.

Searching customer tags

The Customer Tags page has its own search box labelled Search customer tags. Use it when you are managing the tag list itself rather than looking for an individual customer.

Customer tags can also be sorted by:

  • Alphabetical
  • Most customers
  • Recently added
  • By color

If you cannot find the customer

Check for a different phone format, missing country code, a different email address, or a spelling difference in the customer's name. If the customer was deactivated, they may not appear in the normal active customer list.

If the customer booked recently but does not appear where expected, check the booking from the Bookings page as well. Booking details can help you confirm the phone number or email address that should be saved on the customer profile.
