Adding and Managing Email Addresses

Your Speako account can have multiple email addresses associated with it. This is useful if you want to use an alternative email for communications or keep your login options flexible.

Where to find it

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Profile (Account Settings). The Email Management card shows all email addresses currently linked to your account.

Viewing your email addresses

The Email Management card lists all your linked email addresses, each with a status:

  • Primary — your main email (shown with a crown icon). This is the address Speako uses to send notifications and the one shown to business owners.
  • Verified — confirmed as yours with a verification code.
  • Unverified — added but not yet confirmed.

Adding a new email address

  1. In the Email Management card, click Add email address (or the + button).
  2. Enter the email address you want to add.
  3. Click Send verification code. Speako sends a code to the new address.
  4. Check the inbox of the new address for the code.
  5. Enter the 6-digit verification code in the field that appears.
  6. Click Verify. If the code is correct, the email is verified and added to your account.

A success toast confirms: Email verified successfully.

Removing an email address

To remove a linked email:

  1. Find the email in the list.
  2. Click the trash/delete icon next to it.

⚠️ Important: You must have at least one email address on your account at all times. If you try to remove your last email address, you'll see an error: You must have at least one email address.

⚠️ Important: You cannot remove your primary email directly. First, make another verified email your primary, then you can remove the old one.

What if I lose access to my verification email inbox?

If you can no longer access the email being used to receive the verification code, you won't be able to complete the addition. Use an email address you currently have access to.

💡 Tip: Having a secondary email on your account is good security practice. If you ever lose access to your primary email, the secondary can serve as a backup login method.
