Email Notification Preferences
Speako sends various types of email notifications to keep you informed about bookings, billing, and account activity. You can manage which emails you receive from the profile and settings areas.
Types of emails Speako sends
Booking notification emails These are sent when a booking is made, modified, or cancelled. Whether you receive these is controlled by the booking email preference setting in the Team Members area, not your personal profile.
See Per-Member Booking Email Preferences for details on how to turn these on or off.
Billing and account notifications Speako sends emails about subscription events (renewals, failures, trial expiry, plan changes) to your primary email address. These are important transactional emails and are generally not optional.
System and maintenance notifications For planned outages, service updates, and similar operational communications.
Managing booking email preferences
The booking email preference is a per-team-member toggle, managed by the business owner:
- Go to Settings โ Team Members.
- Find your row in the team list.
- Toggle the booking email preference on or off.
If you're the owner and want to control whether you personally receive booking emails, you can update your own preference in the same way.
What email address receives notifications?
Notifications go to your primary email address. Make sure your primary email is an address you actively monitor.
To update your primary email, see Setting a Primary Email.
Why am I still getting emails after disabling booking notifications?
Booking notification emails and account-level transactional emails (billing, security, etc.) are independent. Disabling booking notifications only stops the booking-specific emails โ it doesn't affect billing or security communications.
๐ก Tip: If you're receiving too many booking notification emails (especially for a high-volume business), the owner can disable the booking email toggle for team members who only need to monitor the dashboard calendar, rather than receive per-booking emails.
โ ๏ธ Important: You should not turn off billing and security emails. These are important for keeping your account healthy and should always go to an actively monitored inbox.
