The setup wizard guides you through creating your business in Speako. It takes just a few minutes to complete.

The Three-Step Process

The setup wizard has three simple steps:

  1. Business Name — Enter what your business is called
  2. Business Type — Select your industry category
  3. Location Details — Set up your first location

Step 1: Business Name

Enter the name of your business as customers know it.

  • This name will be used in your AI agent's greetings
  • It appears on your online booking page
  • You can update it later in settings Example: "Happy Sushi" or "Downtown Dental Clinic"

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 2: Business Type

Select the category that best describes your business.

  1. Browse the available categories
  2. Click a category to see specific options
  3. Select your business type
  4. Use the search bar if needed to find your type quickly Your selection determines whether you'll manage tables (restaurants) or staff and services (service businesses).

Click Continue after selecting.

Step 3: Location Details

Set up your first physical location:

Location Name

Give this location a name. If you have multiple locations, make it specific:

  • "Happy Sushi Parramatta"
  • "Downtown Dental - Main Street"

State/Region

Select your state or region from the dropdown.

Timezone

Choose the timezone where this location operates. This ensures:

  • Your operating hours display correctly
  • Booking times are accurate for customers
  • Your AI agent knows when you're open

Completing Setup

After entering your location details, click Complete Setup.

You'll see a progress indicator as Speako:

  1. Creates your workspace
  2. Sets up your location
  3. Configures your AI agent
  4. Finalizes your settings This takes about 10-15 seconds.

What Gets Created

When setup completes, Speako automatically creates:

  • Your organization and first location
  • An AI agent with your business name
  • Pre-configured greetings and settings
  • Your online booking page
  • Sample data to help you learn the platform

If Something Goes Wrong

If you see an error during setup:

  1. Read the error message
  2. Click Try Again if available
  3. Check your internet connection
  4. Contact support if the issue persists
