Your first location is created as part of the setup wizard. Here's what you need to know about locations in Speako.

What is a Location?

A location represents a physical place where your business operates. Each location has its own:

  • Operating hours and availability
  • Staff members or tables
  • Bookings and customers
  • AI agent configuration
  • Online booking page

Your First Location

During the setup wizard (Step 3), you provide details for your first location:

Location Name

Choose a name that identifies this specific location. This is especially important if you plan to add multiple locations later.

For single-location businesses:

  • Use your business name: "Happy Sushi"

  • Or add a descriptor: "Happy Sushi Restaurant" For multi-location businesses:

  • Include the area: "Happy Sushi Parramatta"

  • Or the street: "Happy Sushi George Street"

State/Region

Select where your location is based. This helps with:

  • Address formatting
  • Regional settings
  • Compliance requirements

Timezone

Your timezone affects everything time-related:

  • When your AI agent says you're open or closed
  • How booking times display to customers
  • When notifications are sent
  • Dashboard analytics and reporting

What Gets Created Automatically

When your first location is created, Speako sets up:

Your AI Agent

  • Your business name in greetings
  • A voice matched to your industry
  • Personality traits suited to your business type
  • Basic tools for booking and customer service

  • speako.ai/book/your-business-name
  • Ready for customers to book online
  • Customizable with your branding

Default Settings

Sensible defaults based on your business type:

  • Typical operating hours
  • Booking preferences
  • Notification settings

Once your location is set up, you can:

  1. Set your hours — Configure when you're open for bookings
  2. Add resources — Create tables (restaurants) or staff and services (service businesses)
  3. Customize your AI — Adjust greetings, voice, and personality
  4. Share your booking link — Start accepting online bookings

Adding More Locations

You can add additional locations later from the Locations settings. Each location is independent with its own configuration.
