Speako is organised around the daily work of running a location: managing bookings, keeping customer information available, configuring the AI Agent, and maintaining the business details that customers rely on.

This overview helps you understand the main product areas before you start editing settings.

Main dashboard areas

The sidebar is the best map of Speako's core features:

Area What you use it for
Dashboard Review setup progress, booking trends, conversations, issues, bookings by location, and agents
Bookings Work with bookings for the selected location
Customers Manage customers and customer tags
AI Agent Configure the phone assistant, knowledge, and tools
Organization Maintain business information
Settings Manage service status, online booking, team settings, notifications, and billing
Help Open help content in a separate tab

Some areas only appear for certain location types. Restaurants see table-management options, while service businesses see team and service catalogue options.

AI Agent features

The AI Agent section includes both caller experience settings and supporting resources:

  • Phone Number for the AI Agent number and forwarding readiness
  • Greetings for caller-facing messages
  • Personality for how the agent should behave
  • Voice & Languages for voice, language, pronunciation, and timing settings
  • Knowledges for business information the agent can use
  • AI Tools for actions the agent is allowed to perform

These settings work together. A good voice setup cannot compensate for missing knowledge, and enabled tools depend on the underlying business setup being correct.

Booking and customer features

Speako's booking areas depend on your location type. Service businesses configure staff, job titles, services, and categories. Restaurants configure tables, zone tags, and floor plans. Both location types can use bookings, customers, and customer tags.

The customer and booking data in Speako gives the AI Agent and your team a more complete picture of who is interacting with the business.

Setup and readiness features

New workspaces are guided by onboarding and the Setup Guide. Onboarding creates the workspace and first location, while the Setup Guide points you toward tasks such as business info, location settings, availability, booking resources, AI Agent setup, knowledge, tools, test calls, and online booking.

💡 Tip: The platform is easiest to configure when you follow the same order customers experience it: business details, location details, bookable resources, AI Agent behaviour, then testing.

What to review regularly

Speako should be updated whenever your business changes. Review the dashboard when you change:

  • opening hours or booking availability
  • staff, services, prices, tables, or capacity
  • phone handling or call forwarding
  • AI Agent greetings, languages, or personality
  • policies, FAQs, or other knowledge used in calls
  • online booking readiness

Keeping these areas current helps both your team and the AI Agent give customers consistent answers.
