Speako includes a command palette for quickly starting common actions without hunting through the sidebar. It is useful once you already know what you want to create or open.

Use ⌘K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux to open quick actions.

What quick actions can do

The command palette can include actions such as:

  • Add Customer
  • Add Staff Member
  • Add Service
  • Add Table
  • Add Agent
  • Add Customer Tag
  • Add Job Title
  • Add Service Category
  • New Booking

The available actions can depend on where you are in the dashboard and what kind of location you are working with.

When to use quick actions

Quick actions are best for tasks you already understand:

  • creating a customer while handling a booking
  • adding a staff member during setup
  • creating a service or service category
  • adding a table for a restaurant location
  • starting a new booking

They are not a replacement for reviewing the full setup area. For example, adding a service quickly does not mean all service details, staff links, pricing, or availability have been reviewed.

💡 Note: Quick actions help you move faster, but the underlying setup still needs to be complete before customers or the AI Agent rely on it.

How quick actions relate to location type

Restaurant and service-business locations have different resources. A restaurant setup focuses on tables, zones, and floor plans. A service-business setup focuses on staff, job titles, services, and categories.

If an action does not make sense for the current location type, check whether the correct location is selected.

Good uses during onboarding cleanup

After the setup wizard, quick actions can help fill obvious gaps:

  • add missing customers or tags
  • add staff members and job titles
  • add services and categories
  • add tables for restaurant locations
  • create a test booking

After using a quick action, open the full related dashboard area to confirm the details are complete.

Keyboard shortcut reminder

Use:

Mac: ⌘K
Windows/Linux: Ctrl+K

If the shortcut does not open what you expect, use the sidebar instead and continue from the relevant dashboard area.
