If your business has more than one location, always check which location is selected before changing bookings, resources, settings, or AI Agent behaviour.

Speako is designed around location-specific setup. Switching locations can change what data you are viewing and which configuration you are editing.

What changes when you switch locations

Location-scoped areas can include:

  • bookings
  • customers and customer tags
  • staff and services for service-business locations
  • tables, zone tags, and floor plans for restaurant locations
  • AI Agent phone number, greetings, personality, voice and languages, knowledge, and tools
  • Voice AI and online booking service settings
  • notifications and team-related settings where applicable

This structure lets each location have its own operational setup, but it also means you should confirm the selected location before saving changes.

Why this matters for the AI Agent

The AI Agent is attached to a location. A change made while one location is selected may not update another location's caller experience.

For example, reviewing the AI Agent for one location does not automatically prove that another location has correct greetings, knowledge, phone setup, booking resources, or availability.

⚠️ Warning: Before changing live call behaviour, confirm that you are editing the correct location and follow the relevant publish guidance for the AI Agent area you are changing.

Multi-location review checklist

For each location, review:

  • location name, country, state, and timezone
  • booking availability
  • staff and services, or tables and seating
  • AI Agent phone number and call readiness
  • greetings, voice, languages, and personality
  • knowledge and AI tools
  • online booking setup

This is especially important if locations operate in different timezones, offer different services, have different staff, or use different phone numbers.

Common confusion

If something looks missing or incorrect, check the selected location before assuming data has been deleted. You may be viewing a different location's bookings, resources, or AI Agent settings.

If a sidebar item appears for one location but not another, the location type may be different. Restaurant locations show table-management areas, while service-business locations show team and service catalogue areas.
