Finding the Setup Guide
The Setup Guide appears on your dashboard after initial setup. It shows which configuration steps are complete and which still need attention.
The Setup Steps
The Setup Guide includes these steps:
1. Update Business Info
Add details about your business:
- Business description
- Contact information
- Social media links
- Brand colors This information helps your AI agent answer questions about your business.
2. Setup Location Details
Configure your location:
- Address and contact details
- Phone number assignment
- Location-specific settings
3. Set Availability/Hours
Define when you're open:
- Regular weekly hours
- Special hours for specific dates
- Holiday closures Your AI agent uses this to know when you accept bookings.
4. Setup Booking Resources
Depending on your business type:
Restaurants: Add your tables
Table names and numbers
Seating capacity
Zones (patio, main room, etc.) Service businesses: Add staff and services
Staff profiles and schedules
Services with durations and pricing
Which staff perform which services
5. Configure AI Voice Agent
Customize your AI agent:
- Agent name and personality
- Voice selection
- Greeting messages
- Response style
6. Setup AI Tools
Enable what your AI can do:
- Booking management
- SMS/email confirmations
- Call transfers
7. Add AI Knowledge Base
Teach your AI about your business:
- FAQs and policies
- Menu or service details
- Anything customers might ask about
8. Make Test Call
Call your AI agent to hear how it sounds and test the experience.
9. Setup Online Booking Page
Customize your booking page:
- Logo and banner image
- Business description
- Brand colors
- Terms and conditions
Step Status
Each step shows its current status:
- Not started — You haven't begun this step
- In progress — Partially complete
- Completed — Fully configured
- Skipped — You've chosen to skip this step
Using the Setup Guide
Click to Navigate
Click any step to go directly to that configuration page. A banner will show which step you're working on.
Work at Your Pace
You don't need to complete everything immediately. The Setup Guide tracks your progress and remains available until you finish or dismiss it.
Dismiss the Guide
Once you're comfortable with your setup, you can hide the Setup Guide from your dashboard. You can always access these settings through the regular navigation.
Recommended Order
While you can complete steps in any order, we recommend:
- Set your availability first — so your AI knows when you're open
- Add resources (tables/staff) — so bookings can be made
- Configure your AI agent — to personalize the experience
- Add knowledge — to make your AI smarter
- Test with a call — to verify everything works
