If a service is no longer offered, you can remove it from your Services list so it stops appearing to customers and the AI Agent stops referencing it. This article explains how deletion works and what to consider before you remove a service.
What deletion does
When you delete a service, it's removed from your Services list and is no longer visible to customers on your booking page. The AI Agent won't present it as a bookable option.
⚠️ Important: Deletion is permanent from your perspective. The confirmation prompt makes this clear: once you confirm, the service is gone from your dashboard and cannot be restored through the interface. There is no archive or inactive state you can toggle from the service itself.
How to delete a service
From the Services page, find the service you want to remove. Use the actions menu next to the service row and select the delete option. A confirmation prompt will ask you to confirm before anything is removed.
Once confirmed, the service disappears from the list immediately.
Before you delete
Take a moment to check a few things:
Active bookings — Deleting a service doesn't automatically cancel confirmed appointments that were already made for that service. Check your bookings for upcoming appointments tied to this service before removing it, and handle them manually if needed.
Add-ons tied to this service — If you've assigned add-ons to this service, those add-ons themselves aren't deleted — they still exist in your system and can be assigned to other services. However, the assignment to the deleted service is gone.
AI Agent knowledge — If your AI Agent uses a published knowledge snapshot that includes this service, the agent may still reference it until you republish the knowledge with updated service information.
Team member assignments — If team members were specifically assigned to this service, removing the service removes those links. The team members themselves are unaffected.
Alternatives to deletion
If you want to stop a service from being booked temporarily — for example, it's seasonal and you plan to bring it back — the cleanest option is to remove it from all locations in the service's Service Details tab under Available Locations. This makes it unbookable without losing the service record entirely.
You can re-enable it later by reassigning locations and staff.
💡 Tip: For seasonal or periodic services, consider unchecking all locations rather than deleting. It's easier to turn back on than to recreate from scratch.
After deletion
If the deleted service was part of a category, the category remains intact — it will just show one fewer service. If the service was the only one in a category, the category will show as empty but won't be automatically removed.
