After creating a service, you can update any of its details at any time — name, price, duration, description, category, and which locations and staff it's available for. Changes take effect immediately for new bookings.
Opening a service to edit
Go to Services in your dashboard. Find the service you want to update in the list — you can search by name, description, or category using the search bar — then select the service name or the edit action to open its detail page.
The Service Details tab
Once inside a service, the Service Details tab is where you manage all core attributes. You'll see:
- Name — the display name shown to customers and used by the AI Agent
- Price — the base booking price
- Duration — the appointment length in minutes
- Description — optional copy that appears on your booking page and in AI conversations
- Status — shown as Active (there is no manual toggle here; see archiving for how to remove a service)
- Category — which category group this service belongs to
Editing individual fields
Each field has its own edit button. Select it, make your change, then Save Changes to apply or Cancel to discard.
Editing everything at once
If you need to update several fields in one go, use the Edit All button. This puts the whole tab into edit mode, letting you update multiple fields before saving.
💡 Tip: Use Edit All when adjusting both price and duration at the same time — it's faster than editing each field separately.
Updating availability
The Service Details tab also shows availability settings:
Available Locations — a checkbox list of your locations. At least one must remain selected; the service cannot have zero active locations.
Available Staff — controlled by the Apply to all staff toggle. When on, all current and future team members can offer this service. When off, you can select individual staff members from the list.
⚠️ Important: Removing a location or staff member from a service only affects new bookings. Any bookings already confirmed will not be automatically changed.
When changes take effect
Edits to a service's details are saved immediately on your end. For the AI Agent to reflect updated service names, descriptions, or availability accurately, make sure the agent's knowledge is current. After significant service changes, review and publish the relevant knowledge so customers hear the latest information.
What to check after editing
- If you renamed a service, confirm that any existing categories or add-ons still make sense with the new name
- If you changed duration or price, let your team know so they're not caught off guard in conversation with customers
- If you adjusted staff or location availability, verify the updated service appears correctly on your booking page
