Accepting an Invitation

When someone invites you to join their business on Speako, you'll receive an email with a link to accept the invitation. This article explains what happens when you click that link.

Step 1: Open the invitation email

Check your inbox for an email from Speako with the subject line about joining a team. Click the button or link in the email to proceed.

Step 2: Sign in or create an account

Clicking the invitation link takes you to the Speako sign-in page. From here:

  • If you already have a Speako account: Sign in with your existing credentials. After signing in, you'll be redirected and added to the business that invited you.
  • If you don't have an account yet: You can create one during this flow. Your new account will be linked to the invitation automatically.

Step 3: You're added to the team

Once you sign in or sign up, Speako processes the invitation in the background and adds you to the business. You'll be redirected to the dashboard.

You'll see a brief screen confirming that you've successfully joined the team.

What role will you have?

When you first accept an invitation, you're added with the Member role by default. The business owner can change your role to Admin after you've joined, if needed.

Invitation links can expire or become invalid if:

  • They were already used.
  • They expired (links have a limited validity window).
  • The invitation was revoked by the sender.

If the link doesn't work, ask the person who invited you to resend the invitation from the Team Members settings page.

What you can access

Once accepted, you can log in to the Speako dashboard and access the features appropriate to your role. You'll see the same business data and tools as other team members on your plan, within your role's permissions.

💡 Tip: If you were invited to multiple businesses (e.g. you're a manager across several locations under different accounts), you may need to use separate invitation links for each one. Each invitation adds you to a specific business.

⚠️ Important: Accepting the invitation grants you access to the business's dashboard data, including booking history, customer information, and AI settings. Only accept invitations from businesses you trust and intend to work with.
