Per-Location vs Account-Wide Settings
Understanding which settings apply to a single location and which apply to your entire account helps you make changes with confidence — especially if you manage multiple locations.
Account-wide settings
These settings affect all locations under your account, regardless of which location is currently active in the dashboard:
- Dashboard Team Members — the team members you invite to the dashboard can access all locations (subject to their role permissions). Removing someone from the team removes their access across the board.
- Billing — your subscription plan, voice minutes, invoices, and payment method are shared at the account level.
- Business Information — your trading name, legal name, tagline, description, contact email, website URL, and social links are account-wide.
- Notification preferences — in-dashboard notifications are delivered at the account level.
- Your personal profile — your name, password, and connected accounts are tied to your personal login, not to individual locations.
Per-location settings
These settings are specific to the location currently active in your dashboard. Changing them only affects that location:
- Voice AI On/Off — each location's AI receptionist can be independently enabled or disabled.
- Voice AI schedule — the hours when the AI answers calls can be configured per location.
- Online booking page — each location has its own booking page with its own appearance and content.
- Operating hours — each location has its own weekly schedule, date-specific overrides, and holiday closures.
- AI agent configuration — greetings, personality, voice, knowledge base, and tools are per location.
- Services and staff — service businesses configure services and team availability per location.
- Tables and zones — restaurant table configurations are per location.
Switching location context
When you are working on per-location settings, always check which location is active. The active location is shown in the dashboard header or sidebar location picker. If you have two branches — say, "City Branch" and "Suburbs Branch" — make sure you're editing the right one before making changes.
To switch: go to AI Receptionists, click the location you want to work on, and use the Switch to This Location button if it's not already active.
⚠️ Important: Accidentally editing the wrong location's Voice AI schedule or booking page could affect customer-facing behaviour at the wrong branch. Double-check the active location before saving.
💡 Tip: For consistent AI behaviour across locations, use the copy settings feature when creating a new location. See Copying Settings from an Existing Location for details.
