Job title tags identify each staff member's roles and expertise. This article shows how to assign and manage job titles for your staff.
What Are Job Title Tags?
Job title tags are colored labels that indicate:
- Role (Stylist, Therapist, Trainer)
- Level (Senior, Junior, Lead)
- Specialization (Colorist, Deep Tissue Specialist)
- Certification (Certified, Licensed) Each tag has a name and color for easy identification.
Assigning Job Titles
To assign job titles to a staff member:
- Navigate to Staff and open the staff member's profile
- Go to the Details tab
- Find the Job Titles section
- Click the + button
- Select titles from the list or create new ones
- Selected titles appear on the staff profile
Creating a New Job Title
If the title you need doesn't exist:
- Click the + button in Job Titles
- Look for the "Create new" option
- Enter the title name
- Choose a color
- Click Create
- The new title is created and assigned
Choosing Colors
Colors help visually distinguish different types of roles:
Suggested Color Scheme
- Blue tones — Standard service providers
- Green tones — Senior or certified staff
- Orange/Yellow — Specialists
- Purple — Management or leads
- Gray — Trainees or apprentices Use colors consistently across your team for clarity.
Multiple Job Titles
Staff members can have multiple job titles. For example:
- "Senior Stylist" + "Colorist"
- "Lead Therapist" + "Certified Aromatherapist"
- "Personal Trainer" + "Nutrition Coach" All assigned titles appear as colored tags on their profile.
Removing Job Titles
To remove a title from a staff member:
- Open their profile
- Go to Job Titles
- Click on the title you want to remove
- Confirm the removal The title is removed from this staff member but remains available for others.
Editing Existing Titles
To change a job title's name or color:
- Click on the title tag
- An edit option appears
- Update the name or color
- Save changes
💡 Note: Editing a title updates it for all staff who have it assigned.
Deleting a Job Title
To completely remove a job title:
- Access the title through a staff member's profile
- Select delete (instead of just removing from this staff)
- The title is removed from all staff and deleted

Use Meaningful Names
- Clear: "Senior Hair Stylist"
- Unclear: "Level 3"
Keep It Simple
- Don't create too many similar titles
- Focus on titles that matter for customers and operations
Be Consistent
- Use the same title names across locations
- Update all staff when title names change
Reflect Reality
- Only assign titles staff have earned
- Update when staff advance or specialize
