Remove a table when it should no longer be used for restaurant bookings or floor-plan seating. This might happen when your layout changes, a table is permanently removed, or you created a duplicate by mistake.

Remove a table from the Tables page

Go to Tables and find the table in the list. Use the delete icon in the Actions column.

Speako opens a confirmation dialog:

Delete Table

Are you sure you want to delete “[table name]”? This action cannot be undone.

Choose Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the table.

Once removed, you'll see Table deleted successfully, and the table disappears from the list.

⚠️ Important: Deleting a table is permanent from the dashboard. If you only want to move a table around the floor plan, do not delete it from the Tables page.

Remove a table from the floor plan only

If a table should still exist in your restaurant but should not appear on a specific floor plan, open Floor Plan, select the table on the canvas, then use Remove Table in the Edit Table panel.

This removes the table from the visual layout. It is different from deleting the table itself.

Use this when:

  • The table belongs on another floor or area
  • You placed the wrong table on the canvas
  • You are redesigning the layout and want to reposition it later

Before deleting a table

Check whether the table is tied to any current or upcoming bookings. Deleting a table does not automatically review those bookings for you.

Also check the floor plan. If the table is placed on the canvas, removing it from the table list can leave your layout out of date until the floor plan refreshes.

When to delete versus edit

Delete the table if it should no longer exist at the location.

Edit the table instead if you only need to:

  • Rename it
  • Change capacity
  • Assign a different zone
  • Correct a typo

Remove it from the floor plan only if the physical table still exists but you don't want it shown on that layout.

After removing a table

Review your Tables count and your Floor Plan. If you deleted a table because your seating layout changed, save the updated floor plan using Save Canvas after rearranging the visual layout.
