Call-to-action tools let your AI agent send useful links to customers by SMS during a call. These are helpful when a caller asks for something that is easier to complete or review on their phone.
Where to manage them
Go to AI Agent → Tools & Integrations → Call-to-action.
Depending on your setup, these tools can include links such as:
- online booking link
- online order link
- business location link
- shop or ecommerce link
The agent can offer to send a link when it matches the customer's request. For example, a customer asking where you are located may receive a location link, while a customer who wants to book online may receive the booking link.
Configure link fields
Some tools require a link before they can be enabled. Open Configure, enter the link, then select Save Configuration.
Link fields must use a valid URL starting with http:// or https://. If the link is invalid, Speako shows an error and prevents saving until it is fixed.
⚠️ Important: Only add links you are comfortable sending directly to customers. The AI agent may send them during live customer conversations.
SMS behaviour
These tools are customer-facing. They are meant for situations where sending a text helps the customer continue the task after the call, such as opening a map, placing an order, booking online, or visiting your shop page.
Do not use SMS link tools as a replacement for clear phone answers. The agent should still answer the customer's question when it can, then send the link if the customer needs it.
Saving changes
After enabling or configuring a link tool, select Save Changes in the bottom banner. If you only select Save Configuration inside the configuration window, the change is not fully applied until the main page is saved.
Keep links current
Review these links whenever you change your website, online ordering flow, booking page, map listing, or shop page. A broken or outdated link creates a poor customer experience because the caller may rely on it immediately after the call.
If a link is temporary, such as a seasonal promotion or event page, set a reminder to remove or replace it when the promotion ends.
💡 Tip: Send yourself each link before enabling the tool. Open it on a phone and check that it loads quickly, shows the right page, and makes sense for a customer who has just spoken with your AI agent.
