You can enable or disable AI Tools from the Tools & Integrations page. This lets you control which actions your AI agent is allowed to take during calls.
Open the tool category
Go to AI Agent → Tools & Integrations. Use the sidebar to choose a category, such as Bookings, Customer, Call-to-action, or Utilities.
Each tool card has a switch in the top-right corner.
Enable a tool
Turn on the switch for the tool you want to use. If the tool does not need extra setup, it becomes active as a pending change.
If the tool needs more information, Speako opens a configuration window titled Configure [Tool Name]. Fill in the required fields and select Save Configuration. This saves the configuration locally on the page, then the main Save your changes? banner appears.
⚠️ Important: Save Configuration is not the final page save. After closing the configuration window, use Save Changes in the bottom banner to apply the tool change.
Disable a tool
Turn off the switch on an active tool. The card changes to Inactive as a pending change. Select Save Changes to apply.
If you change your mind before saving, choose Reset in the bottom banner to return to the last saved tool setup.
Required configuration
Some tools cannot be enabled until required fields are filled in. If a required field is missing, Speako shows Missing Required Field and asks you to enter the value.
Fields that contain phone numbers use phone validation. Link fields must use a valid http:// or https:// URL. Invalid fields prevent saving until they are corrected.
Tool dependencies
Some configuration choices require another tool to be enabled first. If that happens, Speako shows Dependency Required and names the tool that must be configured.
Follow the prompt, configure the required tool, then return to the original tool.
Review before saving
Before selecting Save Changes, scan the category badges and active cards. Make sure the active tools match what you want customers to be able to do.
For example, do not enable an SMS link tool until the link is ready, and do not enable a transfer tool until the destination number is correct. Tool access should match your real operations, not just what the AI can technically do.
