Your AI Agent Phone Number is the number Speako gives your location so customer calls can reach the AI Agent. You can copy it from the dashboard, check whether call forwarding has been marked as ready, and use it when setting up your business phone line to forward calls.

Where to find it

Open Phone Number in the AI Agent settings area.

The page heading is Phone Number, with the description Your AI Agent's phone line and call forwarding setup.

If your location has an AI Agent number, you'll see a card labelled Your AI Agent Number. The number is shown in a highlighted box, with a copy button on the right. If Speako can recognise the number's country, the card also shows a country flag beside the formatted number.

Select the copy button to copy the full AI Agent Phone Number to your clipboard. When successful, Speako shows Copied and Phone number copied to clipboard.

What the status means

The phone number card shows one of two status labels:

Forwarding ready means call forwarding has been confirmed in Speako.

Setup required means the AI Agent number exists, but call forwarding has not yet been confirmed.

⚠️ Important: This status is a setup marker in Speako. It does not automatically configure forwarding with your phone provider. You still need to set up forwarding with your telecom provider or phone system.

If you see “No AI Agent Number”

If the card says No AI Agent Number, the location does not currently have an AI Agent Phone Number assigned. The card explains: Complete onboarding to provision an AI Agent phone number.

In this state, the Call Forwarding Setup row is disabled because there is no AI Agent number to forward calls to yet.

How this number is used

Your AI Agent Phone Number is the destination number for call forwarding. In practice, your customer continues calling your normal business number, and your phone provider forwards that call to the AI Agent number.

Customers do not need to learn a new number unless you choose to share it directly. Most businesses keep their existing public number and forward calls behind the scenes.

When to copy the number

Copy the AI Agent Phone Number when you are:

  • Setting up call forwarding with your telecom provider
  • Giving the number to someone who manages your phone system
  • Checking that your business phone line forwards to the correct destination
  • Troubleshooting why calls are not reaching the AI Agent

Good checks before testing

Before making a test call, confirm:

  • The card shows an AI Agent Phone Number
  • The copied number matches the destination entered with your phone provider
  • Your selected dashboard location is the one you want to test
  • Call forwarding has been activated on your business phone line

Once those are in place, call your normal business number from another phone and confirm the AI Agent answers.
