Monthly vs Annual Billing

Speako offers both monthly and annual billing options. Choosing the right one depends on your commitment level and budget.

Monthly billing

With monthly billing, you're charged once per month for your plan. Each billing cycle renews your voice minute allowance and charges your payment method automatically.

Advantages:

  • Flexibility โ€” you can change plans or cancel at shorter notice.
  • Lower upfront commitment.

Considerations:

  • Monthly pricing is typically higher per period than annual billing.

Annual billing

With annual billing, you pay for 12 months upfront in a single charge. This typically provides a discount compared to paying month-by-month.

Advantages:

  • Lower overall cost for the year.
  • One payment to manage rather than monthly charges.

Considerations:

  • You commit to the plan for a full year.
  • Refunds or pro-rated amounts on early cancellation are subject to the terms shown during checkout.

Switching between monthly and annual

You can switch from monthly to annual billing (or vice versa) through the plan management flow on the Billing page. Switching may take effect at your next renewal date, depending on how far through your current billing cycle you are.

To switch:

  1. Go to Dashboard โ†’ Billing.
  2. Access the plan management or upgrade page.
  3. Select your billing interval preference.
  4. Confirm the change.

Which should you choose?

Situation Recommended
Just starting out, want flexibility Monthly
Confident you'll use Speako long-term Annual (save on total cost)
Running a seasonal business Monthly (easier to pause or adjust)
Want to minimise admin (one annual charge) Annual

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: If you've been on monthly billing for 3+ months and are satisfied with Speako, switching to annual is usually worth it. The savings are typically meaningful, and you avoid the risk of accidental lapses from a missed monthly payment.

โš ๏ธ Important: Check the specific discount amounts shown during the upgrade/switch flow. Prices and discount percentages are shown on the plan selection screen before you confirm.
