Plan Limits (Locations, Team Members)
Each Speako plan enforces specific limits on how many locations and dashboard team members you can have. Understanding these limits helps you plan your setup and know when to upgrade.
Location limits
A location in Speako is a physical site paired with an AI receptionist. Each plan allows a maximum number of active locations:

When you reach your location limit, the dashboard will prevent you from creating a new AI receptionist. You'll see a message like:
"Your [plan] plan allows [number] location(s). Please upgrade to create more locations."
To add more locations, upgrade to a higher plan from the Billing page.
Dashboard team member limits
Dashboard team members are the people who can log in to manage your business on Speako. This is different from service staff (who take bookings) — see Dashboard Team vs Service Team Members for the distinction.

When you try to invite someone and you've reached the team member limit for your plan, the invitation will be blocked. Upgrade your plan to invite additional dashboard team members.
Staff members are unlimited
The limit on dashboard team members does not apply to service staff (hairdressers, therapists, technicians, etc.) set up in the Team section. You can add as many service staff as your business needs on any plan.
Checking your current usage
To see how many locations and team members you currently have:
- Locations: Go to AI Receptionists and count the entries in the list.
- Team members: Go to Settings → Team Members and count the active (non-pending) members.
What happens if you downgrade?
If you downgrade to a plan with lower limits than your current usage, you may not be able to create new locations or invite new team members. Existing locations and team members are not automatically removed. Review your setup before downgrading to avoid confusion. See Downgrading Considerations.
💡 Tip: If you're on Starter and find you need a second location, upgrading to Advance gives you 5 locations — plenty of headroom without jumping straight to Pro.
