Customer tags are colour-coded labels that help you organize and categorize your customers. This article provides an overview of how tags work in Speako.
What are Customer Tags?
Customer tags are customizable labels you can apply to customer profiles. They help you:
- Organize Customers — Group customers by type, status, or any criteria you choose
- Filter Your List — Quickly find customers with specific tags
- Identify Patterns — Recognize customer segments at a glance
- Improve Service — Tailor your approach based on customer categories
Tag Features
Colour Coding
Each tag has a colour that makes it instantly recognizable in your customer list. When viewing customers, tags appear as coloured badges next to each name.
Multiple Tags
Customers can have multiple tags assigned. For example, a single customer might be tagged as both "VIP" and "Regular Weekly".
Location-Specific
Tags are created at the location level, so each of your business locations can have its own set of customer tags tailored to that location's needs.
Common Tag Examples
Here are some ways businesses use customer tags:
- VIP — High-value or priority customers
- New Customer — First-time visitors
- Regular — Customers who book frequently
- Referral — Customers who came through word-of-mouth
- Corporate — Business or corporate clients
- Follow-up Needed — Customers requiring attention
Tag Limits
Each location can have up to 100 customer tags. This generous limit ensures you have flexibility to create detailed categorization systems while keeping things manageable.
