When you no longer offer a service, you'll need to remove it from your active offerings. This article explains how to archive or delete services.

Archive vs Delete

Archiving

Archiving keeps the service in your system but hides it:

  • Not available for new bookings
  • Historical data preserved
  • Can be restored later
  • Good for seasonal or temporarily discontinued services

Deleting

Deleting permanently removes the service:

  • Completely removed from the system
  • Cannot be recovered
  • Historical references may show as deleted
  • Good for services you'll never offer again

Archiving a Service

To archive a service:

  1. Navigate to Service Management
  2. Find the service in the list
  3. Click the archive option (may be in a menu)
  4. Confirm the archival Archived services:
  • No longer appear in booking options
  • Still visible in archived services section
  • Historical bookings remain intact

Restoring an Archived Service

If you need to bring back an archived service:

  1. Access your archived services list
  2. Find the service
  3. Select restore/unarchive
  4. The service becomes active again This is useful for:
  • Seasonal services returning
  • Temporarily discontinued services coming back
  • Changed business decisions

Deleting a Service

To permanently delete a service:

  1. Navigate to Service Management
  2. Find the service
  3. Click the delete option
  4. Confirm the deletion

Existing Bookings

  • Are there future bookings for this service?
  • How will you handle them? (Reschedule, cancel, honor)
  • Contact affected customers

Staff Assignments

  • Which staff have this service assigned?
  • Removing the service unlinks it from staff
  • No action needed unless you're tracking

Reporting

  • Will removing affect your reports?
  • Archived services preserve history
  • Deleted services may show as "deleted service"
