Add-ons give customers options to enhance their services. This article explains how to create new add-on options.

Accessing Add-ons

  1. Navigate to Service Management
  2. Look for the Add-ons tab or section
  3. You'll see existing add-ons listed

Creating a New Add-on

To create an add-on:

  1. Click Add or New Add-on
  2. Fill in the details
  3. Save the add-on
  4. Assign it to services

Add-on Details

Name (Required)

Choose a clear, descriptive name:

  • "Deep Conditioning Treatment"
  • "Aromatherapy Upgrade"
  • "Hot Stone Addition"
  • "Express Option" Customers see this name during booking.

Description

Explain what the add-on includes:

  • What the customer gets
  • Any special notes
  • Why they might want it Good descriptions help customers decide.

Price (Required)

Set the additional cost:

  • Enter as a number (e.g., 15, 25.99)
  • Can be 0 for free add-ons
  • This adds to the base service price

Active Status

Toggle the add-on's availability:

  • Active — Available for booking
  • Inactive — Hidden from customers

Assigning Add-ons to Services

After creating an add-on, assign it to services:

From the Add-ons List

  1. Select the add-on
  2. Choose which services can use it
  3. Save assignments

From a Service's Detail Page

  1. Open the service
  2. Go to the Add-ons tab
  3. Check the add-ons to include
  4. Save changes

Setting Up Multiple Add-ons

When creating several add-ons:

  1. Create all add-ons first
  2. Then assign them to services in batches
  3. Review assignments for completeness

Add-on Availability

Control which services offer which add-ons:

  • "Deep Conditioning" → Hair services only
  • "Aromatherapy" → All massage types
  • "Express Option" → Selected quick services Not every add-on needs to be on every service.

Testing Your Add-ons

After creating add-ons:

  1. View a service on your booking page
  2. Verify add-ons appear correctly
  3. Check pricing displays right
  4. Confirm the booking flow works

Best Practices

  1. Be specific — Clear names and descriptions
  2. Price fairly — Reflect actual value
  3. Limit options — Don't overwhelm customers (3-5 add-ons per service is good)
  4. Keep relevant — Only show add-ons that make sense for each service
