Services may need updates over timeβnew descriptions, adjusted pricing, or changed durations. This article explains how to edit existing services.
Accessing Service Details
To edit a service:
- Navigate to Service Management
- Find the service in the list
- Click the edit icon on that service's row
- The service detail panel opens
The Service Detail Panel
The detail panel has tabs for different aspects:
- Details β Name, duration, price, description, categories
- Add-ons β Modifiers assigned to this service
Editing Basic Information
In the Details tab, you can edit:
Service Name
- Find the name field
- Edit the text
- Save your changes Choose names that are clear and customer-friendly.
Duration
- Find the duration field
- Enter the new duration in minutes
- Save changes
π‘ Important: Changing duration affects future bookings only. Existing bookings keep their original duration.
Price
- Find the price field
- Enter the new price
- Save changes Price changes apply to new bookings only.
Description
- Find the description field
- Update or add description text
- Save changes Use descriptions to explain what's included or what customers should expect.
Managing Categories
To change service categories:
- Find the categories section
- Remove unwanted categories
- Add new categories as needed
- Save changes A service can belong to multiple categories.
Editing Add-ons
Switch to the Add-ons tab to:
- See currently assigned add-ons
- Add new add-ons to this service
- Remove add-ons from this service Add-ons themselves are edited separately in the main Add-ons section.
Saving Changes
Changes save:
- When you click a save button
- Or automatically as you edit (depending on the interface) Look for confirmation that changes were saved successfully.
When to Edit Services
Common reasons to edit:
- Price changes β Updating rates
- Duration adjustments β More or less time needed
- Description updates β Adding or clarifying information
- Category reorganization β Moving services to different categories
- Name corrections β Fixing typos or improving clarity
Impact of Changes
On Existing Bookings
- Already-booked appointments keep original details
- Customers see what they booked, not the new values
- Revenue reports may show mixed pricing
On New Bookings
- All changes apply immediately
- Customers see updated information
- Your AI agent uses the new details
Best Practices
- Make changes intentionally β Don't edit unnecessarily
