Photo Options

Speako offers two ways to add a staff profile photo:

  1. Predefined Avatars — Quick, professional avatar images
  2. Custom Upload — Your own photos

Using Predefined Avatars

For a quick setup:

  1. Open the staff member's profile
  2. Go to the photo section
  3. Browse the available avatars
  4. Click to select one
  5. The avatar is applied immediately Avatars work well when you don't have photos available or want a consistent, professional look across all staff.

Uploading a Custom Photo

To use your own image:

  1. Open the staff member's profile
  2. Click the photo upload area
  3. Select an image from your computer
  4. Wait for the upload to complete
  5. The photo displays as a preview

Photo Requirements

For best results:

Image Format

  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG
  • Recommended: Square aspect ratio
  • Maximum file size: Check your plan limits

Image Quality

  • Clear, well-lit photos
  • Professional appearance
  • Face clearly visible
  • Appropriate for business use

Aspect Ratio

Photos are typically displayed in a circular or square frame. Square or 1:1 aspect ratio images work best to avoid cropping issues.

Changing an Existing Photo

To replace a staff member's photo:

  1. Open their profile
  2. Go to the photo section
  3. Upload a new image or select a different avatar
  4. The new image replaces the old one

Removing a Photo

To remove a photo without replacement:

  1. Open the staff profile
  2. The photo section may have a remove option
  3. Or select a default avatar instead

When Photos Appear

Staff photos may appear in:

  • Your staff directory in the dashboard
  • Customer-facing booking interfaces

Photo Best Practices

Do

  • Use professional, well-lit photos
  • Keep photos current (update when appearance changes)

  • Leave old photos from staff who've left

When setting up photos for multiple staff:
