Billing FAQs
What payment methods does Speako accept? Speako accepts major credit and debit cards via Stripe. The payment portal (accessed from the Billing page) shows the specific card types accepted. Stripe supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and others in most regions.
Can I cancel at any time? Speako subscriptions are typically managed through the billing portal. For cancellation, access the payment portal from the Billing page. Check the terms shown in the portal for any conditions on mid-cycle cancellation.
What happens to my data if I cancel? Your configurations, bookings, and customer data are retained in the system for a period after cancellation. Contact Speako support if you need to retrieve or export data after cancelling.
Are unused minutes rolled over to the next month? Plan minutes (included in your subscription) do not roll over — they reset at the start of each billing cycle. Extra minutes (purchased top-up packages) do carry over; they remain in your account until used.
Can I get a refund? Speako's refund policy is outlined in the terms shown during signup and in the billing portal. For billing queries or disputes, contact Speako support with your account details and the relevant transaction.
Does upgrading my plan start immediately? Yes. Plan upgrades take effect immediately. You'll have access to the higher plan's limits and features as soon as the upgrade is confirmed. Proration applies for any mid-cycle upgrade.
What happens when my trial ends? If you haven't activated a subscription before your trial expires, some features (including live call handling) may be restricted. Your data is preserved. Activate a subscription at any time via Dashboard → Billing.
Why was I charged a different amount than expected? Possible reasons include:
- Proration for a mid-cycle plan upgrade or downgrade.
- An extra minute package purchase.
- A failed and retried payment that included a retry fee (check the invoice for details).
