Understanding your customers' history with your business helps you provide personalized service. This article explains how Speako tracks and displays customer interactions.
Viewing Customer History
When you open a customer's profile, you can access their complete interaction history through the Bookings tab. This shows all appointments and calls associated with that customer.
What's Tracked
Booking History
Each customer's booking history includes:
- Upcoming Appointments — Future bookings yet to occur
- Past Appointments — Completed appointments
- Cancelled Bookings — Appointments that were cancelled
- Booking Details — Service type, date, time, and staff assigned
Profile Changes
Speako automatically tracks changes to customer information:
- Name History — If a customer's name changes, previous names are preserved with timestamps
- Update Source — Each change records whether it came from a phone call, online booking, or manual edit
- Last Updated — The timestamp of the most recent change
Using History for Better Service
Customer history helps your team:
- Recognize Returning Customers — See at a glance whether someone has visited before
- Recall Preferences — Review notes from previous interactions
- Track Patterns — Understand booking frequency and preferred services
- Resolve Issues — Reference past appointments when handling questions
Notes and Communication
The Notes field in each customer profile lets your team record important information:
- Special requests or preferences
- Communication history
- Important context for future interactions Notes are visible only to your team and never shared with customers.
