For services you deliver over video, Speako can create a Google Meet link automatically on every booking and give it to the customer in their confirmation. There's nothing separate to connect — Google Meet runs on the Google Calendar connection you've already made.

💡 Rolling out: Google Meet for online bookings is being rolled out gradually and may not be enabled on your account yet. If you don't see it under Integrations, it's on its way.

How Google Meet becomes available

Google Meet has no sign-in of its own. It becomes ready when two things are true:

  1. Your Google account is connected (see Connecting Google Calendar).
  2. At least one location has a Google Calendar chosen in the Calendar sync card.

On the Google Calendar page, the Google Meet card reflects this:

  • Ready"Online services can generate Google Meet links."
  • Not ready"Connect Google and pick a calendar to enable Google Meet links."

💡 Note: The Meet link is created as part of the booking's calendar event. That's why a calendar has to be chosen first — with nowhere to write the event, there's nowhere to attach the meeting.

Setting a service to use Google Meet

Meeting links are decided per service, so you can run some services in person and others online.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Services and open the service you want to change.
  2. Find How is this service delivered? and choose Online meeting"A video link (Google Meet / Zoom)".
  3. Under Meeting provider, choose Google Meet.
  4. Save the service.

If Google Meet isn't ready yet, the provider button is greyed out with a Set up Google Meet → link that takes you to Integrations.

The other two delivery options — At our location and We travel to the customer — don't generate a meeting link.

What the customer gets

When someone books an online service set to Google Meet:

  1. Speako creates the booking event on that location's Google Calendar.
  2. Google attaches a fresh Meet link to that event.
  3. The join link is saved on the booking and included in the customer's confirmation.

One booking creates exactly one meeting — the calendar event is the meeting.

If the booking is rescheduled, the event moves and the original join link keeps working, so a customer who saved the link is unaffected.

If the booking is cancelled, the event is removed and the link stops working.

Troubleshooting

The provider button is greyed out. Google Meet isn't ready. Check that Google is connected and that the location has a calendar chosen.

A booking has no meeting link. Check the service is set to Online meeting with Google Meet as the provider, and that the booking's location has a calendar assigned. A location set to — Don't sync — produces no event, and therefore no Meet link.

Events appear but never have a Meet link. Confirm the connected Google account can create Meet meetings. Some Google Workspace configurations disable Meet, which prevents the link being attached even though the event is created correctly.

The connection shows Needs reconnection. Meet links stop being created until you reconnect Google. See Connecting Google Calendar.

Turning it off

To stop generating Meet links for one service, open the service and change How is this service delivered? to something other than Online meeting, or switch the Meeting provider to Zoom.

To stop for everything, disconnect Google on the Google Calendar page. Bear in mind this also ends calendar sync. Meetings already created stay on your Google Calendar and remain usable.
