Business Philosophy
The Philosophy field in your Business Information lets you articulate the principles and values that guide how you run your business. While the description covers what you do, the philosophy speaks to why and how — the beliefs and approach that shape your customer experience.
Where to find it
Go to Dashboard → Business Information. In the Brand Awareness card, you'll find three fields: Tagline, Description, and Philosophy.
What to write in your philosophy
Think of your philosophy as the answer to: "What do we stand for?" It might cover:
- Your approach to quality or craftsmanship
- How you treat customers
- Your commitment to community, sustainability, or a particular standard
- The story or values your team holds
This is optional — not every business needs a formal philosophy statement — but for those that do, it helps customers understand what kind of experience to expect before they even arrive.
A few lines is plenty. You don't need a manifesto; a clear, honest 2–3 sentence statement tends to resonate more than a lengthy paragraph.
How to write or edit your philosophy
- Open Business Information from the dashboard sidebar.
- In the Brand Awareness card, click Edit next to the Philosophy field.
- Type your philosophy into the text area.
- Click Done to save locally.
- Click Save Changes in the floating bar to commit the changes.
AI Polish
Click AI Polish if you'd like Speako to review and improve your existing text. The polished version appears in a card below. Click Apply to use it, or Dismiss to keep your original.
AI-Generated Variations
Use the AI-Generated Variations card to generate several style options. Click Generate with AI, review the suggestions, and Apply the one that feels most authentic to your brand. You can Dismiss any that don't fit.
💡 Tip: The best philosophy statements are honest, not aspirational jargon. Write what your team actually believes and practises, not a polished-sounding version of what you think people want to hear.
⚠️ Important: Like the other Brand Awareness fields, your philosophy only saves when you click Save Changes in the floating bar. Clicking Done on the field only locks in the local draft — it does not write to your account until you save.
How it's used
The philosophy field is displayed on your public booking page. It is not currently used by the AI receptionist in call scripts, but having complete, accurate brand information in one place means future enhancements can draw on it without any additional setup.
