Deleting a Location
At this time, Speako's dashboard does not include a self-serve option to permanently delete a location or its AI receptionist. There is no delete button on the AI receptionist detail page or the AI Receptionists list.
Why there's no delete option currently
Locations are connected to a number of other resources โ bookings, availability schedules, team members (for service businesses), and AI configuration. Safely removing all of these together requires a managed process to prevent data inconsistencies, particularly if the location has active bookings or assigned staff.
What you can do in the meantime
Depending on your goal, there are several things you can do without deleting:
If you want to stop the AI from answering calls for a location:
- Go to Dashboard โ Settings and turn off the Voice AI toggle for that location. The AI receptionist will stop handling calls immediately.
If you want to stop online bookings for a location:
- Go to the location's settings and disable the online booking page for that location.
If the location was created by mistake and you haven't started using it:
- Contact Speako support to request removal. See Contacting Support for how to reach us.
If you need to reduce your active location count to downgrade your plan:
- Reach out to Speako support with the location name and we'll assist with the removal.
If the location is no longer in use but you want to keep the history:
- You can leave it in your dashboard with Voice AI and online booking both disabled. It won't affect your AI's call handling.
Switching your active location
If you want to stop using one location and focus on another, use the Switch to This Location button on the preferred location's detail page to change your dashboard context.
๐ก Tip: Before contacting support to remove a location, make sure there are no upcoming bookings associated with it. Cancel or reassign any outstanding bookings first so customers aren't affected.
โ ๏ธ Important: Location removal is not self-serve at this time. Do not attempt to work around this by deleting related resources (such as services or staff) individually โ this may cause unexpected behaviour for any remaining bookings tied to the location. Contact support instead.
Contacting support
To request a location deletion, reach out through the normal Speako support channel. Provide the location name and confirm that you understand any associated bookings or data will also be removed.
