Editing Location Details
Each AI receptionist in Speako has a location profile with basic information, contact details, and configuration settings. You can update these details at any time from the AI Receptionists section.
How to open the location detail page
- Go to AI Receptionists in the dashboard sidebar.
- Click on the AI receptionist whose details you want to edit.
- The detail page opens, showing the location's name, status badges, and configuration cards.
Basic Information
The Basic Information section contains:
- Receptionist name — the internal name used to identify this location in the dashboard. Update this if you rename a branch or want a clearer label.
- Country — this field is read-only and shows the country associated with the location. It cannot be changed after creation.
- Timezone — the timezone used for interpreting this location's operating hours and booking times. You can update this if the location moves or if daylight saving changes cause discrepancies.
Contact & Address
The Contact & Address section contains:
- Address — uses an address autocomplete field. Start typing and select from the suggestions to ensure the address is in a recognised format. This is the address shown on your booking page.
- Email — the contact email address for this specific location.
- Phone Number — the human-readable contact phone number for this location (not the AI receptionist's inbound number).
- Website URL — the website link for this location.
AI Configuration
The AI Configuration section shows:
- AI Agent Phone — the phone number assigned to this AI receptionist. This field is read-only with a copy button. To change the phone number, contact support.
- Fallback Phone — the number the AI will transfer a call to if it cannot handle the request. This is editable.
Opening Hours
The Opening Hours section does not let you edit hours directly from this page. It shows a summary and includes a Set Availability button that takes you to the full availability editor for this location.
Saving changes
After editing fields in the Basic Information or Contact & Address sections, a Save Changes banner will appear. Click it to commit your changes. If you navigate away before saving, your edits will be lost.
💡 Tip: The Current Location badge at the top of the page tells you which location is currently active in your dashboard context. If you manage multiple locations, check this before making changes — it's easy to edit the wrong one if you're not looking at the right profile.
⚠️ Important: The Country field is locked after the location is created. If you set the wrong country during setup, you'll need to create a new location.
Switching to this location
If the location you're viewing is not your current active location, you'll see a Switch to This Location button at the top of the page. Clicking it sets this location as your active context across the dashboard.
