Setting Your Business Tagline

A tagline is a short, memorable phrase that captures the essence of your business. It appears on your public booking page alongside your business name, giving customers an instant impression of what you're about.

Where to find it

Go to Dashboard → Business Information. The Brand Awareness card contains the Tagline field, along with Description and Philosophy.

What makes a good tagline

A tagline works best when it is:

  • Short — ideally under 10 words
  • Specific — says something meaningful, not just "Quality service since 2010"
  • Memorable — something a customer would recall after visiting your booking page
  • True — it should reflect what you actually offer, not an aspiration

Examples of the type of phrasing that tends to work:

  • "Sydney's favourite neighbourhood Italian"
  • "Hair care for every texture and style"
  • "Expert repairs, same-day results"

How to set or edit your tagline

  1. Go to Business Information in your dashboard.
  2. In the Brand Awareness card, click Edit next to the Tagline field.
  3. Type your tagline into the input.
  4. Click Done to save locally.
  5. Click Save Changes in the floating bar at the bottom to commit the update.

AI Polish

Not happy with the wording? Click AI Polish next to the tagline field. Speako will review your current text and suggest an improved version. Use Apply to accept or Dismiss to keep your original.

AI-Generated Variations

The AI-Generated Variations card can generate multiple tagline options at once. Click Generate with AI and review the style-labelled suggestions. Apply the one you like best, or dismiss them all and write your own.

💡 Tip: Your tagline and description work together. Make sure they complement rather than repeat each other — the tagline is the hook; the description provides the detail.

⚠️ Important: The tagline field does not have a hard character limit in the editor, but very long taglines may be truncated or wrap awkwardly on some screen sizes. Keep it concise.

Saving your changes

The Tagline, Description, and Philosophy fields all save together via the floating Save Changes bar. Remember to click it before navigating away from the Business Information page.
