Your AI phone number is assigned when you create a location. This article explains the process and what to expect.
Automatic Assignment
Phone number assignment happens automatically during location creation:
- You create a new location
- Speako checks available numbers
- A suitable number is assigned
- The number appears in your dashboard No manual steps required — it's handled for you.
Viewing Your Assigned Number
To see your AI phone number:
- Go to Dashboard > Settings
- Look for Your AI Number section
- The phone number is displayed with country flag You can copy this number with one click.
Understanding Your Number
Your assigned number includes:
- Country code — Matches your location's country
- Area code — Matches your region when possible
- Phone number — Unique to your location
What Happens Next
After assignment:
- Configure your AI agent (greetings, voice, etc.)
- Set up call forwarding from your business number
- Test with a call
- Go live
Multiple Locations
Each location gets its own phone number:
- Location A → Phone Number A
- Location B → Phone Number B This allows callers to reach the right location's AI agent.
