Remove a team member when they should no longer appear as an active service provider. This is different from removing a dashboard user: Team controls service providers and booking availability, not account login access.
Use removal carefully, especially if customers can book specific providers.
Where to remove a team member
On the Team page, find the team member row and use the delete action in Actions. Speako asks you to confirm with Delete Staff and the message:
Are you sure you want to delete "[name]"? This action cannot be undone.
The confirmation button is Delete.
What to check first
Before removing someone, check:
- whether they have upcoming bookings
- whether they are the only provider for any service
- whether they work across more than one location
- whether their services should be assigned to another team member first
- whether you only need to change their hours instead
If a team member is temporarily unavailable, marking days off or removing their availability may be safer than deleting them.
Why service coverage matters
Service bookings depend on both service assignment and availability. If you remove the only team member who can perform a service, customers and callers may not find any available times for that service.
This matters for both the dashboard and the AI Agent. The AI Agent can only offer times that are supported by your configured services, staff, and availability.
⚠️ Important: If a team member is the only provider for a service, assign that service to another active team member before deleting them.
When to edit instead
Do not remove a team member just to fix a mistake. Use Details to edit name, phone, email, bio, profile image, job titles, and primary location. Use Services to add or remove services. Use Working Hours to adjust availability.
Remove the team member only when the person should no longer be treated as an active provider in Speako.
After removal
After removing a team member, review affected services and booking availability. If customers report that a service has no available times, check whether that service still has at least one active team member with usable working hours.
